Mine Safety and Health Program

The Mine Safety and Health Program (MSHP) is a part of the Colorado School of Mines' (CSM) Mining Engineering Department in Golden, CO. This program offers Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification classes on a regular basis, including MSHA Part 48 New Miner Training and Annual Refreshers. There are also many special interest courses available, such as mine safety specialist courses, mine rescue training, and underground search and rescue training.

This program aims to help reduce the number of injuries and illnesses that take place in the mining industry, as well as educate more people about health and safety risks in the workplace.
