Leading Culture Change

We recognize many businesses struggle to integrate all of the disparate safety initiatives within their organizations. NMA’s CORESafety provides many helpful tools and resources, yet successful implementation requires strong leadership support and a comprehensive plan. This course has been designed to assist senior leaders to develop a comprehensive safety culture change process and plan for implementation. Research shows organizational culture plays a key role in talent retention, productivity, business performance and most importantly, employee safety.

Utilizing a collegial format, leaders will be asked to share their unique perspective in a structured roundtable discussion. Leading an organization through a safety culture change is a process that requires careful planning and a strong commitment to execution. Best practice strategies on strengthening the organization’s safety culture will be explored. Grounded in practical application, leaders will be asked to apply best practice principles to developing a concrete plan for their organization. This course is focused on assisting leaders to systematically approach their culture change initiatives, including the use of NMA’s CORESafety tools as well as launching an effective safety and health management system (SHMS).
