Mine Rescue Procedures (DVD)


This DVD was developed using video of mine rescue teams obtained during rescue exercises conducted at the Edgar Experimental Mine. The video clips have been categorized into five topics, including:

• Demonstrating the rescue team procedure prior to going underground

• Building underground temporary stoppings (demonstrations of how to construct five different types of temporary stoppings)

• An interview with Larry Olsen, Team Leader, Skyline Mine – Arch Coal

• Building a fresh air base airlock

• Airlock construction and rescue (demonstrates how to build a stopping to breach a barrier in bad air)
