A three day course to prepare students who wish to request certification by MSHA as an approved instructor under the Part 48 training requirements. The course will cover MSHA regulations, adult learning, records, and developing and conducting training programs.

This training is designed and geared toward first responders who may be called to conduct a rescue at or near an abandoned mine. The course will introduce the trainees to the unique hazards that may exist at abandoned mine sites, and how to mitigate many of these hazards. This course is suitable for varying training levels, from those qualified in confined space and technical rescue to the new member to a volunteer organization.
This course is appropriate for safety professionals, front-line leaders, mid-level leaders and anyone wanting to learn about the fundamentals of leadership. This highly interactive course will engage participants in dialogue about effective leadership and how to influence others in the workplace. A brain-based approach is taken to manage one's emotions, stress, focus and communication. Attendees will complete an online assessment prior to the course and receive a customized feedback report as to their leadership strengths and developmental opportunities at the event.
Training follows the American Red Cross guidelines and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments and hands-on training to teach participants life-saving skills.
Confined Space Training will inform operators/contractors and miners what the principal hazards are in Confined Spaces, and how to protect themselves from them.
